Former mayor Jim Gray found Tee Dee’s career to be so impressive, that in 2017, he declared September 13Tee Dee Young Day.”

Let’s learn a bit more about one of our city’s most accomplished musicians.

In reference to the early years, the Lexington Herald-Leader wrote, “Young remembers leaving the front door open to practice with his blues band, and people being lured in from the streets by the siren sounds.”

This turned into a bit of a tradition. The club is open every Monday night and Tee Dee + his band perform from 8-10 p.m.

  2. Increasing retirement contributions
  3. Tax-loss harvesting: Selling investments at a loss can help offset gains + lower your tax burden.*

THE WRAP
Today’s edition was written by Aaron.

Editor’s pick: I think seeing Tee Dee Young play live should be on every Lexingtonian’s bucket list. His energy on stage is infectious. It’s not every week that I make it out to a concert on a Monday night, but when Tee Dee plays, it feels like a Friday night.

Happy “Tee Dee Young Day,” Lexington.
