A guide to mocktails in Lexington

If you’re cruising along your Dry January journey, temporarily taking a break from booze, or have made the choice to steer clear of alcohol altogether, you can still raise your glass this month. Lexington has plenty of zero-proof offerings so you can keep up your social calendar without ordering soda and tea, again.

For those who choose not to booze, add one of these eight bars with mocktails, non-alcoholic beers, and more to your list.

Note: We asked our readers and followers for recommendations, too — their suggestions are marked with a 🍹.

🍹 Carson’s, 362 E. Main St.
Check out its Bev Bible, aka the drink menu, to find eight zero-proof pours including sangria, a bellini, and a mock-mosa.
Try this: Jalapeno Watermelon Margarita — featuring watermelon puree, fresh orange juice, and muddled jalapeno

🍹 Harvey’s, 200 W. Main St.
Sips so nice you won’t think twice about missing the booze. All drinks are made with fresh juices and house-made syrups.
Try this: McAdams and Morford Mocktail — fresh squeezed lime juice, cucumber, house-made rosemary syrup, topped with soda water

🍹Mirror Twin Brewing, 725 National Ave.
This Warehouse Block spot has on the menu a non-alcoholic frozen rosé, two mocktails, plus five varieties of non-alcoholic beer from Athletic Brewing.⁣
Try this: Apple Ginger Moscow Mule — made with apple cider, lime juice, and ginger beer

OBC Kitchen, 3373 Tates Creek Rd.
From spicy margaritas to a smokey old-fashioned (made with tea), your taste buds won’t believe the difference.

🍹 Whiskey Bear, 3195 Beaumont Center Cir.
In addition to its extensive whiskey menu, its three mocktail options are the perfect pairing with an Addie’s Pizza.
Try this: Winter Beary — cranberry, fresh lemon juice, and pomegranate syrup topped with gum drops

Did we miss your favorite local mocktail? Let us know and we’ll add it to our list.
