The Rink at Triangle Park returns for the 2022-2023 season in Lexington, KY

The Rink at Triangle Park has returned for the 2022-2023 season and will be open for festive fun through Wed., January 18. Before you hit the ice to show off your triple axel, here’s what you need to know:

Dates of operation

  • Sat., Nov. 5-Wed., Jan. 18
  • See the hours
  • Don’t miss the expanded hours during school breaks when the rink will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday + until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Location

  • Triangle Park, in the heart of downtown in front of Central Bank Center (400 W. Main St.)

Pricing

  • $17 for 60 minutes, which includes your skate rental
  • Pro tip: Make sure you bring your card because The Rink is cashless.

This Fri., Nov. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. is the return of the LexArts Hop — when dozens of galleries, museums, artists’ studios, and creative spaces around downtown open their doors for the community to view art.

Unique pieces of work can be found in conventional art spaces — think Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center or the 21C Museum Hotel — and unconventional spots like Central Bank + First Presbyterian Church.

Exhibits we’re excited about

  • “Forging Felt” by Tony Higdon | LexArts Gallery, 161 N. Mill St. | Stop by to see the unique handcrafted hats of Tony Higdon, each highlighting the “memories, experiences, moods, and moments that are wearable stories.”
  • Members’ Biennial | The Loudoun House, 209 Castlewood Dr. | Happening every two years, this exhibition shares the work of the member artists including Helene Steene + Lennon Michalski.
