Imagine a CSA, but for flowers, so you can add a splash of color + cheer to your home while supporting local farmers. Well, keep reading.

Agape Fields, Nicholasville

Named after the Greek word meaning love, Agape Fields is a labor of love + family farm operation in north Jessamine County. They are a Kentucky Proud member and offer U-Pick days for a fun family outing.

  • Bouquet — For ~$120 a month, you’ll receive a weekly, fresh-picked fragrant bouquet including exceptional heirloom varieties of flowers.
  • Bucket — Perfect for small businesses, you’ll be given 30+ stems of seasonal varieties with accent foliage.

In Bloom Flower Farm, Georgetown

While owner and grower Carly Reed calls In Bloom a small-scale flower farm, her blooms are anything but. Be sure to check out the Spring Workshop coming up on May 13, for a farm tour + arrangement class.

Opening
  • In case you haven’t driven past the former Burger Fi spot near campus, here’s some delicious news — El Mariachi is moving in. This will be the family-owned restaurant’s third location, the other two are in Townley Center + Hamburg. The opening date is still TBD.
Eat
  • Castle Farm at The Kentucky Castle has revealed its new spring menu which features a variety of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options. Enjoy starters like lamb meatballs or the strawberry salad paired with shareable sides like red corn grits with manchego or crispy smashed beets.
Biz
  • The Kentucky Association of Manufacturers’ Coolest Thing Made in Kentucky bracket has moved on to the next round. Vote here through Sunday, April 9. You’ll even see a couple of local companies on the ballot. We’re lookin’ at you, Big Ass Fans + J.M. Smucker Company.
Concert
  • Tickets are on sale today to hear the sweet sounds of Mat Kearny at the Lexington Opera House. The Nashville-based artist is bringing “The Acoustic Trio Tour” downtown this summer on Wednesday, July 19.
