Today marks the beginning of Bissell Pet Foundation’s Empty the Shelters Campaign, which aims to do just that — clear local animal shelters by advocating for adoptions. We thought it was the perfect opportunity to remind you of the ways you can support our local shelter, the Lexington Humane Society (LHS).
LHS stays dedicated to animals all year long through community awareness events, volunteer opportunities, and programs. We love learning about + keeping up with available pets through its social media.
Whether you’re ready to to adopt, want to help with senior animals, or animals with medical issues, there’s a way for you to participate. Here’s just a glimpse of LHS’ offerings:

A lightweight spring jacket that won’t overheat you during transitional spring months. We’re loving every floral pattern of this women’s quilted jacket and the cut of this men’s cotton bomber jacket.
On Sunday, I went to my first Black Jacket Symphony concert, “Prince’s Purple Rain” and it was so much fun. The lights, the high energy, the interaction with the crowd, it was seriously epic. I can’t wait until they’re back in September covering hits from Elton John in “Madman Across the Water.”
