As part of Small Business Week, we’re highlighting Lexington small businesses — and first up is one of our favorite places to get caffeinated.

25+. That’s how many drinks Leestown Coffee House has on its menu — from coffeehouse favorites to non-traditional lattes, like the “upside down” latte, this Leestown neighborhood spot is ready to bean you up, Scotty.

“Coffee + creativity are our passion,” said General Manager Alison Rickert. “From an early morning pick-me-up to a late afternoon latte, and everything in between.”

Did we mention? They’re also slinging bakery goods like gluten-free pop tarts and other pastries from Frank’s Donuts, Southland Bagel + La Petite Delicat.

While the baristas at Leestown Coffee House recommend trying a latte with one of their house-made syrups or flavor combinations, here are our top four picks from Leestown Coffee House. You can thank us later.

All bets are off. The winner of the 151st Kentucky Derby won’t have a shot at the Triple Crown. Sovereignty will not race in the Preakness, and will instead be preparing for the Belmont Stakes in Saratoga. (Lexington Herald-Leader)

Biz

There’s no shortcut to a sparkling home exterior, just Window Genie’s expert service and the Neighborly Done Right Promise™. From pressure washing to window cleaning and tinting, you’ll work with fully trained, insured pros who care about your curb appeal as much as you do.*

Sports

Think racehorse ownership is out of reach? Think again. Pocket Aces Racing makes it easy (and surprisingly affordable) to join the winner’s circle. As a partner, you’ll help pick the horse, visit top tracks, share in the thrill (and more), without the pressure of going it alone.*

Stat

$8,000+. That’s how much you could spend if your dog breaks a bone in a car crash, fall, or collision — from wound treatment and x-rays to emergency surgery and aftercare. Luckily, this pet insurance plan could reimburse you up to 90% of that cost.*

The Buy

It’s easy to support small businesses across the globe when you shop unique + one-of-a-kind products on Etsy. One of our favorite things to browse is Etsy’s selection of custom artwork. These are five of our favorites:

🖼️ A minimalist custom house illustration done in the color of your choice.
🖼️ A top-rated watercolor portrait of your pet(s).
🖼️ A cartoon-style family portrait that can feature up to eight people and pets.
🖼️ A vibrant wall poster customized with the birth years of your family members.
🖼️ A watercolor portrait made from a photo of your choosing.
