The month might be almost over, but in true Christmas in July spirit, Film Lexington is wrapping up a little gift for filmmakers + reminding them of the Kentucky Film Incentive.

In their words — we’re looking at you, Hallmark Channel, to bring a new holiday romance or family film to the area at these locations. While we wait, get in the spirit by watching these seasonal movies filmed around Kentucky.
  • Midway to Love” | Filmed close to Lexington in Midway, Versailles, Nicholasville + Wilmore
  • Home-less for the Holidays” | Filmed in nearby Danville + was written and produced by a Danvillian
  • A Christmas Pitch” | Filmed in Madisonville + features scenes inside The Crowded House
Bonus: Add Bachelor Santa” to your watch list when it premieres — it began filming in Owensboro, featuring The Creme Coffee Shop, in January.

This boutique hotel has been making headlines since the $38 million development was announced at the end of 2021. The feature highlights all of the incredible views of Kentucky horse country you can see + its 1960s South Florida vibe — and we couldn’t agree more.
