Lexington is slated to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for a 22-unit affordable housing complex this Saturday, Sept. 13 (530 N. Martin Luther King Blvd.). The project aims to address the city’s housing need and provide affordable living for residents. (ABC 36)

City officials are rethinking how to expand Lexington’s growth boundary, prioritizing using underutilized land and planning for future housing needs. Residents can share their input at a public meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 200 E. Main St. The final plan will be completed by August 2026. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
