It’s soup season, LEX. The weather is taking a turn, and there’s nothing better than a hot bowl of soup on a chilly day or when you’re feeling a little under the weather.

One of the most popular spots to get local soups was this Southland staple. The soup lineup changes daily, but our followers can’t get enough of the potato soup and the classic tomato paired with grilled cheese.

The YMCA of Central Kentucky sold its High Street property this week and is on the hunt for a new downtown space for its members. The current location will remain open through at least March 2026. (FOX 56)

Churchill Downs has announced plans to build a $300 million “Victory Run” complex. The new four-story venue will feature suites, covered box seats, and indoor + outdoor dining, boosting capacity to 7,800. Construction will start after the 2026 Derby, with the facility expected to open in time for the 2028 event. (ABC 36)
