Paws 4 the Cause, a local animal non-profit, is seeking foster families after an influx of dogs were brought in from Estill County. The rescue said it needs the community’s help caring for the animals and reducing overcrowding. If you’re unable to foster, you can also sponsor a dog’s adoption. (ABC 36)

Transylvania University’s Old Morrison is glowing once again for PumpkinMania. Now in its 15th year, the free display features hundreds of hand-carved jack-o’-lanterns created by students, alumni, and locals. The Saturday Tandy Park Farmers Market has moved indoors for the season. Starting Nov. 1, find it at Greyline Station from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday through Spring 2026. The Wednesday evening market runs 4–7 p.m. and continues through December. Pro tip: Parking is free at Greyline Station.
