Step into the world of Mary Todd Lincoln with a special “clothes encounter” this Sunday, Nov. 9. Explore her adult fashion — her connection with dressmaker Elizabeth Keckley — and view mourning pieces from the MTL House collection, an 1830s Liberty Hall dress, and replicas influenced by her original pieces.
Doors open at 2 p.m. (last entry 3:15 p.m.), and visits take about 45 minutes. Tickets are $15 for the general public and $10 for museum members and students, and they can be purchased online or at the door.
Pro tip: The encounter is recommended for ages 12+ and light refreshments will be provided.
