The free Kindergarten Life Skills program helps preschoolers (ages 4-5) and their caregivers build confidence for the big day through engaging story time and hands-on activities.

Each week features a new theme, from making friends and managing big feelings to practicing kindness and smart decision-making.

Plan Ahead

SoulFeast Week has announced its 2026 dates, with events set for June 18-21 and Restaurant Week to follow June 22-28. The annual Lexington celebration, centered around Juneteenth, highlights culture, cuisine, and community while uplifting Black-owned businesses. Stay tuned for additional event details.

A new local hockey team, the Lexington Nightfall, sold out its home opener at the Lexington Ice Center this past weekend and also contributed donations to the Central Kentucky Hockey Association. The game brought in fans from across the region, introducing many to a new sport. (LEX 18)

Taste of Ukraine recently opened in Nicholasville, bringing traditional Ukrainian cuisine to Central Kentucky. Owner Tetiana Soloshchuk launched the restaurant to share her culture through dishes like borscht and varenyky, introducing local diners to new flavors and family recipes. (WKYT)

I foster friendships through a nice walk. I’m considering joining the Livengood in Lex Walk Club, which is a weekly walk through some of my favorite neighborhoods (Kenwick, Ashland Park, Mentelle Park, and more).
