Opening
  • The owners of Tacos La Doña food truck are opening a permanent spot, La Doña, in Zandale Shopping Center. The restaurant will have an expanded menu including breakfast — think fajita omelets + tres leches pancakes — from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The soft opening is this Thursday, July 20. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
Development
  • Wawa, a Pennsylvania-based convenience store + gas station, is coming to 3013 Lexington Rd. in Nicholasville — just down the road from Brannon Crossing — in 2025. The shop features an extensive list of typical gas station options in addition to made-to-order hoagies and breakfast sandwiches. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
Drink
  • Thanks to a countywide “wet status” in Madison County, Richmond’s Dreaming Creek Brewery will expand its operations. The craft brewery plans to open a brewing facility + taproom at 207 N. Broadway St. in Berea. It’s expected to open part of the space sometime this year. (LEX18)
Talk
  • Head to The Burl tomorrow, Thursday, July 20 at 7 p.m. for Celebrate Southern Storytellers. Hosted by KET, the free event will host a performance from S.G. Goodman as well as video interviews with prominent Kentuckians including Silas House + Jon Cherry. Reserve your spot. (KET)
