Live like royalty
Modeled after a 17th-century English countryside home, Delong Manor is believed to be the largest home in Kentucky. It features three floors, accessible via an elevator, and is made from steel, concrete, and Indiana Limestone — the same material used in US landmarks. In other words, it’s sturdy.
The two-story entryway, which doubles as a great hall, is 103 ft long, boasts 22.5-ft-high coffered wood ceilings, and welcomes you with a seating area + fireplace. Fun fact: All bedrooms on the second floor have en-suite bathrooms and access to a private terrace balcony.
Other notable features:
Large primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom, and a custom closet with a sliding ladder
A sunroom
Dining room that seats 16
Bar room
Gym with an infrared sauna
Nine-seat movie theater
Luxury outdoor living
If you thought the interior was gorgeous, wait until you see the grounds. The 70-ft saltwater pool has two pool houses and is steps away from expansive custom paver terrace. Outside you’ll also find:
A croquet garden
Tennis courts
An eight-car garage
Wisteria-covered custom pergolas
Now, who wants to be our roommates?

As a Lexington local, we’re guessing that District 7 Social Hall has probably been added to your regular rotation of food + drink destinations since opening its doors at the beginning of the year.
Located at 1170 Manchester St. in the Distillery District, District 7 Social is a dynamic food hall concept currently home to German-isch, a German-inspired eatery, a self-serve Beer Wall featuring 50+ local drafts, and bowling, ping-pong, and golf game spaces.
And now, a new *sweetery* is coming. Sweet Iron is slated to open mid-August, and will feature a European and regional waffle-inspired menu of classics, including:
Chocolate-dipped waffle treats (topped with fruits and homemade whipped cream)
Scratch-made waffle ice cream sandwiches
Chicken and waffles
Waffle breakfasts
Our mouths are already watering. Stay tuned for updates about Sweet Iron’s exact opening date — we’ll share it in the News Notes section as soon as we have it.
Today through Sunday, Aug. 6, the Lexington Challenger Tennis Championships are taking place at UK’s Hilary J. Boone Tennis Center. Come check out this USTA Pro Circuit event to see rising stars of professional tennis in action.
