Hey, y’all — City Editor Molly here. I’m certainly not rushing summer away but more so thinking ahead for fall (and cold season).
Whenever my husband is sick, there’s only one food he wants to eat: Caldo Tlalpeño, the homemade chicken soup from Jalapeno’s. Fun fact: It’s also our follower @maryjanehendrickson’s go-to as well.

BBN meets ATL. The UK men’s basketball team will head to State Farm Arena this winter where they will face the UNC Tar Heels in the CBS Sports Classic. Valvoline CEO Sam Mitchell announced his retirement effective Saturday, Sept. 30. Mitchell has led the company for 20+ years and will be succeeded by President of Retail Services, Lori Flees. He said in a press release that Flees is “a strategic thinker” with an ability to “unite teams and drive results.”

Congratulations to the Southeastern Cal Ripken 12U baseball team out of Veterans Park for advancing in the championship bracket of the league’s World Series.
