Things to do Bluegrass Distillers at Elkwood Farm, 158 W. Leestown Rd. | See the newly restored 1830s mansion + farm property, which will also debut its “grain to glass” experience in early 2024.

In case you needed another reason to check out Beaumont, say hello to Beau’s Cafe, which opened late last month. Located at 3191 Beaumont Centre Cir., this breakfast + lunch spot is open Tuesday-Saturday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m. with a menu full of sandwiches, bowls, coffees, and fresh-pressed juices.
Closing
Broomwagon Bikes + Cafe announced that this Saturday, Nov. 11 will be the last day for its food service. It will still offer coffee and smoothies through the end of the year, but will make room for a prospective new restaurant to take over its cafe in the new year.

According a recent WalletHub survey, Lexington is one of the best cities to visit for Thanksgiving. The finance website used 18 metrics to determine the rankings including affordability, weather forecast, celebrations, and traditions. The Horse Capital of the World was ranked No. 41.
Holiday
The annual Hillenmeyer Christmas Shop will make its debut on Monday, Nov. 20, at Ashland, The Henry Clay Estate. The holiday favorite will be open seven days a week, 11 a.m.-7 p.m. + feature the usuals like hot cider, decor, and manger animals on the weekends. However, see which key character will be missing.

Head to the Kentucky Theatre tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 9 to celebrate five years of CivicLex. The evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour to connect with fellow community members, followed by a showing of the film, “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.”
