Have too much on your plate (literally and figuratively)? With family just days away from making the trek to town for Thanksgiving, it’s best to have an itinerary ready so your visitors can stay entertained — and you can stay sane.
21c Museum Hotel | 167 W. Main St.
This spot offers wide-sweeping views of downtown. If the weather outside is frightful, your visitors can easily stay in for dinner at on-site restaurant Lockbox, and stroll through its rotating art exhibits. Bonus: It’s dog-friendly, so invite Fido for the festivities.

Food + Drink
Everyone needs their fuel fix this time of year, so here are a few spots to grab a cup of joe, bites, and a drink.
For coffee options, we recommend getting a double dose of seasonal drinks (caffeinated and boozy) with a stop at Lussi Brown Coffee Bar. If guests are more interested in just getting into the spirit, pull up our happy hour guide.
Need a more kid-friendly spot? The Creatures’ Cauldron Cafe is a Harry Potter-themed shop in the heart of downtown that offers coffee + colorful milk-based kids’ drinks.
As for food, Lexington is home to hundreds of unique eateries from fast-casual diner spots like Tolly-Ho, to high-end Southern cuisine from Carson’s, even the pickiest eaters can find somewhere they like.

Pro Tip
Perfecting Thursday’s Thanksgiving menu is important, but so is avoiding oil-clogged pipes — no one wants those. Bring your used cooking oil to the Gobble Grease Toss at Redwood School (166 Crestwood Dr.) on Friday, Nov. 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to be safely recycled.*
Announced
Drumroll please. Field & Main Bank has announced the winner of its first-ever Community & Cause giveaway: Jobs for Kentucky Grads, an organization dedicated to helping students overcome barriers to graduation and transition into post-secondary life, has won the $20,000 prize. We love to see it.*

You don’t have to wing it when flying this holiday season. We’ve created a guide that covers everything you need to know about traveling through Blue Grass Airport.
What to know
TSA | According to TSA officials, it takes ~5 minutes to get through during off-peak hours and ~15 minutes during peak hours, around 6-9 a.m.
Map it out | If you’re like us and need to completely visualize a place before you step foot inside, these maps of the entire airport will be your saving grace.
Food and drink | Start your day with a cup of coffee or donut from Dunkin’. Get a tasteof southern hospitality at The Bourbon Library Restaurant & Bar or check out the extensive wine + bourbon offerings from Cork & Barrel.
Flight status | While we recommend staying updated via your respective airline, you can also check the airport’s dashboard for your flight status.
I just want to take a moment to send my appreciation + gratitude to service industry and retail workers out there. Remember to thank them for making the holiday season operable, and show patience for when things inevitably get chaotic.
