Time’s ticking, folks, and we realized we need to start planning our New Year’s Eve. Whether you want to dress up or boogie down, Lexington has plenty of parties happening to fit the vibe of everyone’s celebration style.

Totally 90s New Year Party with Vinyl Richie, 899 Manchester St.

Get ready for a blast from the past by grooving to the beats that inspired a generation. Tickets start at $35.

New Years Eve at The Burl, 375 Thompson Rd.

Turn back time to the 1920s with a Prohibition-style party featuring live jazz from the Mudbug Stompers + specialty cocktails and a champagne toast. And how appropriate, tickets are $24.

Castles & Champagne, 230 Pisgah Pike

Start 2024 looking and feeling like royalty with a black tie gala at The Kentucky Castle. Tickets start at $287 and include a three-course dinner, three drinks, a champagne toast, and live music courtesy of The Company Band.

Studio54 NYE Celebration, 200 W. Main St.

Don your dancing shoes and head downtown to The Melodeon to boogie the night away. The disco dance party kicks off at 8 p.m. — your $30 ticket includes a glass of bubbly and access to Harvey’s Bar + Harvey’s Beer Garden.

NYE Marathon, 601 N. Limestone

Al’s Bar starts the party at 2 p.m. with day drink specials, food from Luna, and continues the celebration with music from Lylak, Sunmates, and Wicked Peace. Tickets are $10.

The Premier 2024 Experience, 300 E. Third St.

The Lyric Theatre & Cultural Arts Center is bringing us multiple experiences in one evening with a silent disco, karaoke, trivia, a Hip-Hop + R&B party, and live concert. Tickets start at $75.

Studio 24, 725 National Ave.

Mirror ball meets Mirror Twin. Starting at 8 p.m., the Warehouse Block brewery is taking us back to the age of fabulous fashion + dazzling discos with live music, dancing, and a photo booth. Tickets start at $23.

  • The VP of Franchising for On the Border said that the Texas-based Tex-Mex chain is hoping to open three restaurants in Kentucky, including one in Lexington. The team is currently looking for a location and franchising partner. Once those are in place, it could take ~12 months to open. (Lexington Herald-Leader)

  • If you’re heading to ATL to cheer on the Cats this weekend, get ready to party. UK is inviting fans to join them at the CBS Sports Classic Pregame Party on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Hudson Grille Downtown. Wear your blue + be there as early as 12 p.m.

  • This is the last week to place your bids for the 2023 REIMAGINE art projects — which sees local artists put their spin on students’ work. Proceeds from the online auction will be split between the artist, nonprofit, and the students’ school.
