Transylvania’s Marquard Field complex is getting a massive overhaul with the help of a local group.

Use of the land along Radcliffe Road and Haggard Lane has been up in the air for years. However, the school ultimately decided to sell it to the banking group for a discounted price of $2.8 million. The development will feature a variety of housing types aimed to support families making 30 to 80% of Lexington’s median income, which is ~$66,000.
“There was a sense we could do more to be an active and engaged part of this community that we call home,” said President Brien Lewis.
A groundbreaking is planned for summer 2025 once the sale officially closes.
