  • A new 122,000-sqft Kroger will be coming to the Northwest side of town. Last week, city council approved a $30 million Kroger Marketplace to be built at 760 Newtown Springs, next to the Amazon facility. It will feature 476 parking spaces, a drive-thru pharmacy, and gas station. (Lexington Herald-Leader)
History
  • Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate will debut a new tour during its open house on Saturday, Feb. 24, 1-4 p.m. The tour will unveil new images and material pertaining to the history of African American people who were enslaved and later employed at Ashland from 1808 to 1948.

  • Woodford Reserve has released its annual limited edition Woodford Reserve Batch Proof — and it’s one of the strongest yet. Coming in at 121.2 proof, the blend features bourbon from 100+ different barrels featuring characteristics of fruit, grain, sweet aromatics, and spice. (The Lane Report)

  • The Transylvania Pioneers baseball team have signed on a new recruit, but he might need a boost.
