Who’s ready for Spring Break? Our City Editors took Friday off to spend more time out and about in the Horse Capital of the World — Aayat grabbed an iced matcha from Kenwick Table and Molly took Ziggy over to Jacobson Park for some fresh air.

Closing
  • Forage, the one-stop shop for indoor plant needs, will close its doors at Greyline Station. It’s last day will be on Saturday, March 30. Don’t fret though — their Louisville location in Germantown is just a short drive away.
Eat
  • The Marriott Griffin Gate is hosting an Easter Brunch on Sunday, March 31, with seating times available at 11 a.m. + 1 p.m. Tickets to the bottomless buffet are $65 for adults and $27 for children. The day also includes a visit from the Easter bunny, an egg hunt, and prizes.

  • The Kentucky Children’s Garden at the Arboretum will reopen for the season on Wednesday, April 3. It’ll be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday. Season memberships, valid April-October, are available for $130 + include up to five people per visit, or day passes are available for $4 per person, per visit.

  • Buffalo Trace and Castle & Key were both listed on Whiskey Wash’s “5 of the Best Distilleries to Visit This Year.” The publication mentioned Buffalo Trace’s family-friendly offerings + that Castle & Key is a “must-visit destination” for bourbon historians.

  • Remember the riverboat at Shaker Village? While the excursion may have retired, the boat is living a new life as an event venue available for rent. Permanently docked at Shaker Landing, it’s perfect for receptions + parties. Email to inquire.
