Local legends

Goodfellas, Two locations
As a former New Yorker, City Editor Sam knows where to find the closest thing to a slice of New York pie. Head to the Distillery District for a sit-down, date night vibe or swing by its OG spot on 110 N. Mill St. to grab a to-go pie. You can never go wrong with a slice, a coke, and a breadstick (don’t forget the garlic butter).

Joe Bologna’s, 120 W. Maxwell St.
This year we bid a happy retirement to the man behind the breadsticks that Lexingtonians consider a rite of passage, but the restaurant which bears his name while continue on. Choose from round or Sicilian-style crust for a truly unique ex-pie-rience.
