An enchanting indoor forest

Kinda like “A Night at the Museum,” minus the battles, 21c Lexington has announced an opportunity for visitors to sleep inside an exhibit.
From the creative mind of artist Chris Doyle, “Nightwatch” uses projection technology to transport guests into the heart of an enchanted forest through projected light and custom designed furnishings. Think: Disney’s “Fantasia” by day, followed by dancing geometric shapes, flying birds, and shadow play at night.
“This sleep-in installation transforms the hotel suite into a dynamic, living artwork, offering guests a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary art in a deeply personal and sensory way,” said, 21c Museum’s Chief Curator and Museum Director Alice Gray Stites.
“Nightwatch is designed to immerse guests in the unseen wonders of the natural world,” said Doyle. “The moving light uncovers the animated magic hidden within the forest, reminding us of the vibrant life that continues while we sleep.”
