We are less than a week away from zombies flooding the streets of downtown Lexington. The spooky scene will kick off this Sunday, Oct. 26 at 4:45 p.m. with a Halloween Variety Show, followed by a Halloween Parade, and the award-winning “Thriller” Parade.
Known as Lexington’s “largest Halloween party” there will be food, drink, and craft vendors available all evening.
Pro tip: Mostly looking forward to seeing Michael and Ola dance their way through town? The “Thriller” Parade is 7-9 p.m. between Quality and Mill streets.
Since 1969, The LASC has been a place where thousands of kids explore art and science through camps, field trips, and neighborhood events.
Now, the organization is gearing up for its next chapter — and Lexingtonians can help. Contribute to “The Power of 56" fall campaign to support hands-on learning for future generations.
Own 24 fenced acres of prized Lexington farmland. A 7,100-sqft estate off Paris Pike recently hit the market. See inside the elegant home’s gourmet kitchen, picturesque pond, and sweeping staircase.

Travel
Are you feeling a little extra this Halloween? A quick trip to one of the spookiest cities in the US could be right up your cobweb-lined alley. To see things that go bump in the night — and hopefully, not on the flight — a last-minute visit to Blue Grass Airport is the place to start. (CNN)
Eat
Move aside, peanut butter and jelly. The Washington Post has some tips on leveling up your sandwich game, inspired by a trip to Seville in the south of Spain. However you choose to fill your sandwich, using the best loaves in town is essential.
Kids
Visiting the most magical place on Earth is getting pricier. Single-day, single-park tickets are rising by 5% at Disney World and 8.7% at Disneyland during peak times. Save a pretty penny and keep the magic by exploring Lexington’s fun-filled, kid-friendly spots instead. (Variety)
