The Lexington Recycle Center remains closed today, and Monday collections are not re-scheduled. Recycling pickups are expected to resume normal schedules starting tomorrow, March 31. You can get notified of changes.

Population growth in Lexington has slowed over the past year, compared to 2024-2025. The US Census Bureau reported that migration between cities and states, as well as birth rates, decreased nationally in 2025. (WKYT)

Starting today, the Legacy Trail will be closed betweenNewtown Springs Drive and Citation Boulevard, due to ongoing construction in that area. Greenway users are encouraged to take advantage of detour routes. (The Herald-Leader)

Home to a black box theater and multiple event spaces, this locale has multiple venues for live music, dance, and other musical performances.
