It’s officially spring — and that means warmer weather, greener landscapes, and more time spent outside.

One of our favorite outdoor activities? Exploring the miles of trails throughout our community.

While you’re enjoying the spaces, here are a few etiquette tips to keep in mind:

  • Pass safely | Yield to pedestrians, announce yourself, and give plenty of space when passing.
  • Stay on designated sides | Walk or ride on the correct side, use the proper bike or walk lanes, and avoid disturbing wildlife by following marked paths.
  • Share the trail | Be friendly, yield to slower users, and step aside if you need to stop.
  • Stay alert and control your speed | Watch for other trail users, wildlife, and obstacles, and slow down on downhill sections or blind corners.
  • Leave no trace | Keep our community clean by taking your trash with you.

And as always, follow posted signs and regulations, including speed limits and designated bike lanes.
