Versailles’ newest restaurant, Black Squirrel, serves a wide-ranging breakfast and lunch menu featuring locally sourced ingredients and regional flavors.
Led by Executive Chef Cole Arimes and Chef de Cuisine Olivia Jackson, the menu changes seasonally, and both the decor and name celebrate Woodford County’s Saddlebred history.
Kentucky’s own Sturgill Simpson will headline Rupp Arena for the third time on Oct. 30 as his alter ego Johnny Blue Skies. The stop will wrap up Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds’ “Mutiny for the Masses” tour. Snag tickets this morning starting at 10 a.m. (Lexington Herald-Leader)

Blue Grass Airport announced future updates, including an expansion of its 1976 terminal, to take place over the next few years. Parking and cell phone lots have already embarkedon their glow-up. (WKYT)

History
Take a guided tour of the historic Matthew Kennedy House (also home to Mulberry & Lime) to benefit preservation nonprofit Blue Grass Trust on Sunday, April 12, at 1 or 3 p.m. Kennedy was a prominent Kentucky architect in the early 1800s. Tea will be served by Lexington Tea & Brie.
