If composting has been on your New Year to-do list but you’re not sure where to start, this local workshop might be your answer.

Compost Workshops are free, two-hour sessions that walk participants through simple composting options tailored to individual spaces.

Read: Whether you’re working with a backyard bin, a small apartment setup, or something in between, expect to receive practical tips you can actually use.

Six workshops will take place at locations across our community. Dates include:

  • Saturday, March 7
  • Thursday, March 12
  • Wednesday, March 18
  • Saturday, March 21
  • Saturday, March 28
  • Saturday, April 4

The programming is open to all households, whether or not you receive city waste services. Heads up: There are about 230 spots open.

Pro tip: those who complete a workshop receive a $50 subsidy toward a composter to help get started.
