Renovations are set to begin on Lextran’s Downtown Transit Center starting Monday, April 7. Located at 150 E. Vine St., the work will primarily be focused inside the building, helping to modernize the facilities.

Riders can expect a few changes during the planned eight months of construction:

  • The passenger loading area will be moved to High Street
  • No indoor access including bathrooms, waiting areas, or water fountains
  • No in-person bus pass sales
  • Customer service functions will be temporarily moved to the Loudon Avenue office

Once complete, employees + guests can expect improvements aimed at increased comfort, safety, and accessibility, including:

  • A fresh space for customer assistance + ticket purchasing
  • Renovated public restrooms + waiting areas
  • Employee breakroom + restrooms with fresh designs
  • A brand new retail space for convenient snacks, drinks + essentials

In addition, Lextran’s fleet will see upgrades in the form of new onboard display screens, app enhancements, and other vehicle updates.
