If the ice cream is strawberry, that means it counts as a serving of fruit — right? Asking for a friend. | Photo via Unsplash

Recently, we asked you to come up with a unique ice cream flavor that describes Lexington and utilizes one to three locally sourced ingredients. After reading all of your responses, it’s safe to say that our mouths are watering. Here were two of our favorites:

A bourbon and mint flavored ice cream topped with a caramel marshmallow sauce (like Modjeskas). Called “Bourbon Royale.” — Polly S.

Vanilla ice cream mixed with Buffalo Trace Bourbon and Old Kentucky Chocolates’ Thoroughbreds (caramel, pecans and chocolate). Called “Southern Delight.” — Sharon D.

The only thing we need now is a local ice cream shop to make one of these flavors a reality. Crank & Boom Craft Ice Cream and Sorella Gelateriawe’re looking at you.
