Oktoberfest beers — you saw them hitting the shelves the same time as pumpkin spice-flavored everything — in August. The seasonal packaging + autumnal orange hue of these festive beverages make us want to bust out our best flannel in 80° weather.

While we are 4 days into October, and you’ve probably already had a pint or 3 of these seasonal suds — we are bringing you our favorite Oktoberfest beers that Lexington breweries have released this season.

West 6th Brewery | Dankechain Oktoberfest | 5.5% abv

This medium-bodied lager is a delicious Lexington staple. Even your sister-in-law’s cousin who lives in Louisville has tried the Dankechain — mix it up and try their Dunkel or Weizenbock.

Country Boy Brewing Co. | Oktoberfest | 5.5% abv

This beer is bright amber in color + crisper than a fall morning. If the Dankechain is the Oktoberfest staple of Lexington — then Country Boy’s Oktoberfest is closing the gap quicker than American Pharoah .

Pro Tip: Bring a crowler of this to your next tailgate party to impress your friends

Mirror Twin Brewing Co. | Wade Boggs | 6.2%

Maltier than most, but always reliable in October — just like the famous Boston Red Sox 3rd baseman this beer was named after.

This golden brew is the perfect party lager for a sunny fall day + it tastes like a honey-soaked biscuit.

Pro Tip: This beer tastes even sweeter after a long run through Woodland Park.

Pivot Brewing Co. | Braunstein | 5.5% abv

This german-style Dunkelweizen is darker in color and sweeter than a traditional Oktoberfest beer — think chocolate + banana.
