Dean Martin was onto something when he said the thing about a big pizza pie being amore (that’s what the song is about, right?). And what better way to celebrate such an enthralling love story than exploring this year’s Lexington Pizza Week.
From Monday, Feb. 19 through Sunday, Feb. 25, 13 Lexington restaurants will serve up veggie + meat options for $10 each — 10-inch pies or 2XL slices. So, without further ado, let’s take a bite out of the pizzas.

On Thursday, Feb. 15, our regional climate action committee will host a hybrid public hearing at 5:30 p.m., where you can provide feedback on which projects should be prioritized to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Can’t make it? A survey will go live on Friday, Feb. 16.
Shop
The Kentucky Vintage Fest will take over Greyline Station on Saturday, March 2 + Sunday, March 3, featuring vendors selling vintage clothing, housewares, a motorcycle show, and live music. Admission is free, but if you want to guarantee a good find, you can pay $10 for early entry.
Arts
A Smithsonian exhibit is coming to Shaker Village next month. “Spark! Places of Innovation” uses photography, augmented reality, and video to tell the stories of rural America’s most significant innovators — like the Shakers. The grand opening takes place Saturday, March 2 at 5 p.m.

With several grocery store projects being announced in the last several months, we decided to round up all the spots that are about to making shopping much more convenient.
Kroger, 760 Newtown Springs
A $30 million, 122,000-sqft Kroger Marketplace will be coming to the Northwest side of town next to the Amazon facility. It will feature 476 parking spaces, a drive-thru pharmacy, and gas station. Kroger is also rolling out a series of updates to three of its stores this year.
In the next few years, Florida-based Publix will open three locations in Lexington. The first will be located at the Fountains at Palomar development, the second is slated for Citation Point near Georgetown Road, and the third is expected to be located at Romany + Duke Roads.
