Pride is here, Lexington. If you’re looking to mingle with members of the community and allies, there are plenty of opportunities in June (and throughout the whole year) to celebrate. Here are a few highlights. Pro tip: Check our events page as new events pop up.

Lace up those shoes, don your most colorful garb, and kick off Pride Month with Frontrunners Lexington, John’s Run/Walk Shop, and Bluegrass Runners. Then, join the crew at Blaze Pizza for a fundraiser dinner.

This monthly series begins at Lussi Brown Coffee Bar and ends the night around the corner for burlesque performances, music, drinks, and more.

A few months ago, the Lexington Public Art Commission put out a call for artists to design utility boxes around town. Now, it’s time to vote for the design that will decorate the utility box near Tates Creek Public Library Branch. See the finalists and vote by Monday, June 10.

Have you ever wanted to take a closer look at the vibrant homes of Kenwick? The Kenwick Neighborhood Association will host a bungalow tour this Sunday, June 9, 1-5 p.m. Tickets include a tour of eight homes + gardens and will help support events and projects for the neighborhood.

The YMCA of Central Kentucky is back with summer Friday Family Fun Runs. Head to your nearest YMCA location starting this Friday, June 7 at 6 p.m. for a leisurely walk/run and stick around afterwards for refreshments.
