The long-awaited opening of Lexington’s first Publix has finally arrived. The Florida-based grocery chain will open its doors today at 7 a.m. off of Citation Boulevard.
Here are a few fast facts about the space:
Located at 1952 Stockton Way
Open daily, 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
46,000+ sqft, featuring 16 aisles with a separate spirits store next door
Home to 120+ associates, with ~30 of them moving to Lexington to help open the store
Bonus: Publix is headquartered in Lakeland, FL, home to one of our sister publications LALtoday. They have all the content you could want on Publix, including locals’ favorite “pub sub” orders and the positive work they do in the community.
Speaking of community impact, the grocery chain has founded a partnership with God’s Pantry Food Bank and has donated 170,000 pounds of produce since last year.
