On the Table, a city-wide, community-driven conversation, is taking place all next week — Sun., April 10-Sat., April 16.
This is our chance, as proud Lexingtonians, to make our voices heard on the issues that are affecting our city the most — new parks, affordable housing, public transit, new businesses incentives + so much more.
But as the saying goes, you can’t just talk about it — you have to be about it. And in this case, that means showing up. Community leaders + organizations are hosting tables around the city that everyone is invited to.
Here’s how + where you can get involved.
Step 1
Show up at one of the following locations
. You can find a table at breweries, libraries, parks, coffee shops, art galleries + more. There are definitely spots close to your section of the wagon wheel. Meeting times also vary from morning to evening — making it convenient for everyone to join in.
Step 2
Partake in a one-hour public discussion. Come prepared to engage with other citizens about civic topics that you feel are important to the future of Lexington’s growth.
Step 3
At the end of the discussion fill out a survey about how Lexington is growing + changing. Data gathered from the survey will be used to shape Lexington’s Comprehensive Plan , an essential document for planning our city’s future.
Honestly, that’s it.
We’re looking forward to joining in on the conversation next week. If you see us at a table, say hello.
