Happy Veterans Week, Lexington. 🇺🇲 In honor of Veterans Day this Thursday, the city of Lexington + a handful of community partners have combined forces to bring to life the Week of Valor.

The Week of Valor kicked off last Friday with a proclamation from Mayor Linda Gorton, a Toys for Tots toy drive with U.S. Marine Corps + a slew of free services and resources for veterans — claims assistance, flu shots, COVID-19 vaccinations, and healthcare sign-ups.
On Saturday, volunteers gifted veterans quilts through the Quilts of Valor program and Veterans Resources United of Central/Southeastern Kentucky (VRUCK) hosted dozens of vendors, food trucks and activities for veterans at Masterson Station Park.

On Sunday afternoon, 300+ runners joined in support at the Veterans VA5K. There’s still more going on this week — and beyond — to show support + honor those who have served our country.
