EOP Architects also shared with us its newest design for the Fayette County Public School Career and Technical Education Building.

This building will take the place of the old Lexington Herald-Leader building located at 100 Midland Ave — we told you about this news last week .

The school board recently voted to begin requesting bids to revamp the building so that students across Fayette County may soon have a new facility to practice trade-specific skills — welding, carpentry + more.

In the design, both Fayette County Public Schools and the EOP Design Team had a strong desire to acknowledge and preserve the existing building’s architectural + functional history.

We’ll keep you updated on the status of this redesign.
