Expansion, Lexington’s Psychedelic Experience & Music Festival, announced details for this year’s event, which will take over town Thursday, August 24-Saturday, August 26.

This year, the annual festival is expanding to include multiple venues + experiences. Think: Psychedelic music, interactive art installations, and live visuals. Let’s take a trip through the itinerary.

Thursday, August 24

Psychedelic Cinema Night | The Kentucky Theatre
Catch two screenings — the works of Robert Beatty followed by a Q&A, and the premiere of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s documentary concert film, “Chunky Shrapnel.”

Friday, August 25

Dream Wishes Presents | 21c Museum Hotel
Experience this live interactive variety show “from another dimension.”

Saturday, August 26

Expansion Music Festival | The Burl
The main event where you can soak in good vibes with LED visuals, interactive art installations, and live music from TOBACCO, Liz Cooper + more.

Tickets go on sale Friday, May 19 at 10 a.m.
