Lexington Craft Beer Week

The 8th Annual Lexington Craft Beer Week kicks off tomorrow Fri., Oct. 15 + runs through Sun., Oct. 24. This weeklong event celebrates Lexington’s vibrant craft beer community.

Next week will feature collaborations between the city’s best breweries + the release of 40 new beers across town. 

We’re hoppy to highlight the most highly anticipated beer releases + break down all the best events

Sip slowly because there is a lot to take in here.

Kicking things off is a hyper-local collaboration between Country Boy + West SixthCountry Western Vol. 9. Every ingredient from this IPA comes straight from Kentucky. There’s no better way to drink local than snagging a pint of this beer.

The VoidKentucky’s first sake brewery — is teaming up with Wisebird Cider Co. to create a one-of-a-kind cider-sake hybrid.

We can’t round out the week’s worth of wacky releases without mentioning Rock House Brewery’s Appalachian Golden — a strong Trippel brewed with Mountain Dew.

The Void Sake Co. | Sake Seltzer Releases | A new line of low ABV flavored, carbonated sakes on tap

Rock House | Pumpkin Beer

Mon., Oct. 18

Blue Stallion | House Cider Release | Blue Stallion will be releasing their first-ever cider.

Rock House | Appalachian Golden | Appalacian Golden is a strong Tripel brewed with Mountain Dew.

Tues., Oct. 19

Blue Stallion | Test Batch Tap Takeover | Come test crazy concoctions like a Pawpaw fruit IPA, a Sour Pumpkin Ale + a Pickle Sour.

Wed., Oct. 20

Multiple Breweries | Hops for Hand Collaboration

Many breweries will be releasing a collaboration IPA to honor a fallen brewer + friend — Scott Hand. This beer was a collaborative effort between the local breweries and the Kentucky Guild of Brewers. All proceeds from the sale of this beer will go to a fund in Scott’s name.

The Void + Wisebird Cider | Cider-Sake Hybrid | Madeusing The Void’s signature Junmai sake and heirloom apple cider from Wise Bird.

Country Boy | Nate’s Coffee Stout | 9 a.m. | Brunch available all morning. Nate’s Coffee will be onsite to taste different roasts and blends, as well as Nate’s Coffee Stout on tap and in cans.

Fusion Brewing | Sunday Funday Trivia | 4 p.m. | Prizes available to all winners. 

Mon., Oct. 18

Country Boy | Beat the Brewer at Malibu Jack’s | 6 p.m. | Win Country Boy merch by beating the brewers at your game of choice. Bowling, go-karts, video games, and pop-a-shot are all in play.

Fusion Brewing | Yappy Hour | 4 p.m. | Bring your pup into the taproom for free treats and giveaways. $1 off flagships all day.

Country Boy | Chili Cook-off | Georgetown, 1 p.m. | Try chili from 50 different competitors from across central KY. Vote for your favorite pro chef + average Joe chef after tasting them all. 

Rock House | Aluminum Can Pinewood Derby | 2 p.m. | $15 gets you a blank can, pinewood kit + 1 beer ticket. Compete for prizes.
