Imagine Lexington , a department within Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s (LFUCG) Division of Planning, is hosting a public hearing this Thursday, Nov. 30 to discuss the final draft of the 2045 Comprehension Plan .
Imagine Lexington 2045 will help lay out Lexington’s long-term growth and development focusing on five major themes:
- Supporting neighborhoods through affordable housing developments + potential redevelopment opportunities.
- Expanding environmental regulations by tracking + reducing LFUCG’s carbon footprint and implementing sustainable-focused policies.
- Creating job growth by bolstering opportunities for the agricultural industry + encouraging entrepreneurship.
- Making Lexington more desirable through improved transportation access + walkability, preservation of historical sites, and a review of parking policies.
