On Fri., Jan. 21, Lexington Pro Soccer — the USL League One soccer club — released a series of renderings for its proposed downtown stadium.

The proposed location is on High Street — directly across from the Central Bank Center and Rupp Arena. You know that big parking lot right next to LexLive ? Yup — right there.
Pro tip: Don’t stress — the stadium is being designed with integrated parking garages on-site that will exceed the current parking capacity of this area.
The 45,000-sqft. stadium is being designed by world-renowned architect firm Gensler + will feature 6,000+ seats, a 160-room hotel, a 250-unit upscale multifamily residential development, and an entertainment-focused retail area with patio views of both the stadium and Rupp Arena. It’s essentially going to be its own city within a city.
Fun fact: Gensler architecture firm has designed stadiums + buildings all over the world, but its most recognizable project might be the Shanghai Tower in China — the world’s third-tallest building.
Since the official announcement of Lexington Pro Soccer in October , the club has been hard at work with an in-depth branding process — seeking community input from central Kentucky residents along the way. This process will lead to the eventual creation of the club’s official name, crest + colors. All of which are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
