With Super Bowl LVI kicking off this Sun., Feb. 13, we want to make sure your nails won’t be the only thing you’re biting as the Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Rams duke it out on the field.

Whether you’re a Bengals fan, a Rams fan, or not really sure if someone is going to score a homerun or not, we’ve got a round-up that everyone can rally around — Lexington’s best chicken wings.

We’re listing off our favorites based on three different categories — naked + sauced, breaded, and vegetarian.

Category No. 1

The Sauce Boss | Shamrock’s Bar & Grille, 154 Patchen Dr.

This classic sports bar is a Lexingtonstaple + has been in business for ~30 years. They know how to do wings.

Editor’s choice: My favorite sauce at Shamrock’s is the Gochujang sauce. It tastes like getting chicken wings tossed in your favorite Chinese food take-out sauce.

Category No. 2

Ain’t Afraid of No Carbs | Minglewood, 159 N. Limestone St.

Minglewood is quickly becoming a fan-favorite in downtown’s dining scene. Its menu has something for everyone, making it one of our go-to choices when we host out-of-town guests.

Minglewood’s wings are french-breaded, tossed in orange teriyaki sauce + served with spicy bleu cheese.

Editor’s Choice: I always request my sauce on the side for these wings — that way I can dip between buffalo + teriyaki sauce.

Category No. 3

Faux Fowl | The Social Vegan, 101 W. Loudon Ave.

The Vegan Social serves up food so hearty + delicious that it’s easy to forget you’re eating vegan — and its buffalo cauliflower wings are no exception to this.

Editor’s choice: If you love buffalo sauce, order the large portion + get a mango iced tea to wash it down.
