Have you seen the 55x24-foot LED light display on the corner of The Cornerstone building?
This collaborative piece between UK art alumna Helene Steene + UK has won the 2022 Collaboration of Design + Art (CODA) award in the education category for her piece titled “Moon Sentinel.”
Helene’s “Moon Sentinel” was originally a seven-foot painting, inspired by her fascination with the moon. UK then enlarged the painting and digitally displayed it on The Cornerstone ‘s massive LED media wall — making this type of LED art display the first of its kind in Lexington.
“Moon Sentinel” will be on display at the corner of S. Limestone + Avenue of Champions throughout the month of September.
