The city unveiled the newest affordable housing complex yesterday, Kearney Ridge Apartments. The $43 million development features 252 units, with one, two, and three-bedroom options, a community room + pool. Wawa is coming in hot. The Pennsylvania-based gas station + convenience store chain announced 40 stores will be coming to Kentucky. So far, one is confirmed for Lexington across from Jacobson Park in the proposed Anderson Communities development at 4075 Old Richmond Rd. (Lexington Herald-Leader)

UK HealthCare + Fayette County Public Schools (FCPS) are teaming up to close the employment gap for individuals with disabilities through Project SEARCH. The two entities have created the facility’s first-ever internship program where seven FCPS students are currently working at the hospital system. (WKYT)

Calling all super spellers. UK College of Education is an official regional partner of the 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
