LexArts Hop is free + open to public and takes place the third Friday of every other month. | Photo by LEXtoday

This Fri., Nov. 18 from 5 to 8 p.m. is the return of the LexArts Hop — when dozens of galleries, museums, artists’ studios, and creative spaces around downtown open their doors for the community to view art.

Unique pieces of work can be found in conventional art spaces — think Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center or the 21C Museum Hotel — and unconventional spots like Central Bank + First Presbyterian Church.

Exhibits we’re excited about

  • “Forging Felt” by Tony Higdon | LexArts Gallery, 161 N. Mill St. | Stop by to see the unique handcrafted hats of Tony Higdon, each highlighting the “memories, experiences, moods, and moments that are wearable stories.”
  • Members’ Biennial | The Loudoun House, 209 Castlewood Dr. | Happening every two years, this exhibition shares the work of the member artists including Helene Steene + Lennon Michalski .
