The annual tip-off for the UK men’s and women’s basketball season, better known as Big Blue Madness, is set for Friday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. at Rupp Arena.

The biggest change to this year’s event will be the absence of the super fan-favorite campout. UK officials said in an announcement that there would be no in-person ticket distribution due to the renovations at Memorial Coliseum.

Here are some fast facts + pro tips to secure your spot and get your season preview of the Cats.

  • Tickets will be available online only beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.
  • Max of two tickets per household.
  • While tickets are free, there will be a “minimal service fee.”
  • The men’s team is the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the country.
  • The women’s team is returning key players like Maddie Scherr + Tennessee transfer Brooklynn Miles.
