The ‘stache is back. Well, you already knew that, but the Lexington Legends are also back on the diamond for the 2025 season opener Friday, April 25 at 7 p.m. against the Charleston Dirty Birds. Can’t wait that long? Head to the pre-season exhibition game against the California Dogecoin tomorrow, Tuesday, April 22 at 10:30 a.m.

Pro tip: Legends Field is a cashless stadium, so leave your folding money at home.

Here’s what you can expect from this legendary team:

Schedule + theme nights

The Legends will play 125 games this season, including 63 at Legends Field.

Throughout the season, there will be themed nights + nightly promotions, such as:

  • $2 Tuesday | Tickets, popcorn, hot dogs, and canned soda are all $2 each
  • Bark in the Park | Bring your canine companion for a pre-game stroll.
  • Thirsty Thursday | Sip on $2 domestic + $3 craft beers.
  • Fireworks Fridays + Saturdays | Celebrate win or lose with post-game fireworks
  • Sunday Fun Day | Sunday is for the kiddos, where they can run the bases after the game.

Key players

In April, the Legends drafted native Lexingtonian Colin Burgess, a Tates Creek High School alumni. After leading Tates Creek to victory in the KHSAA State Championship in 2019, Burgess returns to Legends Field to take his spot behind the plate.
