From pampering spa days to family-fun activities, the French Lick West Baden area offers Lexingtonians many different ways to vacation. Just two and a half hours from Lexington, there’s no reason not to try it all. Here’s what we’re adding to our itinerary:

  • Luxe weekend away at French Lick Resort | With two national award-winning historic hotels, a casino, two healing mineral spas + three exciting golf courses, you’re in for a jam-packed weekend at the resort.
  • Animal adventures | Visitors have a chance to feed Bert the giraffe, along with meeting other ranch animals like kangaroos, iguanas, and more.
  • Get out on the water | Explore Patoka Lake, the second-largest reservoir in Southern Indiana, or book a canoe or kayak adventure along the Blue River with Cave Country Canoes.
  • Experience Strassenfest | Hop on a train from French Lick to Jasper, which hosts Strassenfest, a traditional German festival. This family-oriented, four-day festival happens in early August. Visitors are invited to enjoy food, dancing, singing, and more.

Plan your visit.
