With the NCAA basketball season coming to a close, headlines have been whirling around about who is in and who is out for the Wildcats. As the NBA Draft approaches, here are some key dates coming up for UK men’s basketball players—

  • April 23 — The deadline for players to apply for early entry
  • May 15-21 — The NBA Draft Combine
  • May 31 — The last day for underclassmen to withdraw from the draft + maintain college eligibility

Draft bound

Jacob Toppin — Senior, Forward

  • Played in 86 games + started in 37 during his career at UK.

Cason Wallace — Freshman, Point Guard

  • Selected for the All-Southeastern Conference Freshman Team and No. 2 in the conference for assists per game, averaging 4.3 per game.

Antonio Reeves — Senior, Guard

  • The transfer from Illinois State was named the SEC’s Co-Sixth Man of the Year after tallying four games of 20+ points off the bench. Although he’s submitted papers to receive evaluations, Reeves will retain his collegiate eligibility.

Oscar Tsheibwe — Senior, Forward

  • The West Virginia transfer, who has become a household name in the Big Blue Nation the past three seasons, will continue his basketball career with hopes of playing in the NBA.

  • He played in 16 games off the bench and Averaged 2.5 points, 2.6 rebounds throughout his first year.
