This week, Blue Run Spirits revealed the first look at its future distillery and headquarters coming to Georgetown in 2025 — and as you can see, it’s jaw-dropping.

The $51-million project is designed by the international architectural firm Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the same firm that designed Google’s headquarters .

The design is called “Meander,” and draws inspiration from the journey that the limestone-rich water takes through the distilling process. “Blue Run Distillery is shaped by the flow of the whiskey and the processes and people who make it,” said Bjarke Ingels, founding partner at BIG.

Blue Run Spirits CEO and co-founder Mike Montgomery added that they are “developing a welcoming, unexpected, and modern facility with a true focus on sustainability.”

Blue Run Spirits plans to break ground on the 35,000-sqft distillery + 20,000-sqft rickhouse this year. It will be located at Lanes Run Business Park .
